Check out this article on Cherokee Nation Business yielding more jobs and opportunities in Oklahoma. From a marketing perspective, you have to wonder how much the Cherokee’s rich arts and culture have contributed to the overall branding that leads to these great opportunities.

Here is an excerpt:

“Cherokee Nation Cultural Tourism, meanwhile, is doing an excellent job promoting the history and culture of the Cherokee Nation, while showing our value as a partner to the state of Oklahoma. The Cultural Tourism group, which is managed by CNB, recently assumed operation of its second Oklahoma Welcome Center. State budget cuts were going to force welcome centers in Kansas and Tulsa, Okla., to close, but thankfully we were able to come to a management agreement for the sites. Now, as visitors make their way into Oklahoma they are exposed to everything our great state has to offer, including tours of Cherokee Nation museums, historical sites, scenic byways and cultural centers. Continuing this trend of establishing the Cherokee Nation as a vacation and tourism destination is a wonderful way to raise the profile of our tribe’s unique culture and history.”
