Introducing Lobbyist Jerrod Shouse

Oklahomans for the Arts is pleased to announce we have engaged contracted lobbyist Jerrod Shouse.

In addition to monitoring legislation, Shouse will assist with our legislative strategy for arts and culture, helping us communicate with Oklahoma legislators and plan for future advocacy.

Jerrod Shouse

Shouse is the President of Shouse and Associates Government Relations Consulting. He has extensive experience in working with Oklahoma’s elected officials, having spent six years as the personal assistant to Governor Frank Keating. He was also the press secretary for University of Oklahoma President David Boren, simultaneously serving as the President’s special assistant for university outreach.

Shouse has a particular commitment to lobbying within the state of Oklahoma, representing varied clients. Since 2010 he has served as Oklahoma’s state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, an organization dedicated to advocacy on behalf of small business owners.

He is a 2011 alumnus of Leadership Oklahoma City – the same year he was named one of Oklahoma’s Achievers Under 40 – and has served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Arts Institute since 2013. He is a member of Rotary Club of Oklahoma City and Downtown Club of Oklahoma City.

We welcome Jerrod Shouse and look forward to working with him to advance the interests of the arts and culture in Oklahoma!
